We all share similar concerns about our aging loved ones.
We know there’s no place like home, a familiar place filled with the love of family and friends. Aging presents challenges for the entire family and we help them find solutions that bring peace of mind.
We value transparency, so you can see our caregivers, view caregiving in action, learn more about our caregiving team, see what people are saying about us, and we are reviewed by an independent third party for customer satisfaction.
We are there when you are unable to be.
Caring for a loved one presents a unique challenge, especially when the responsibility descends upon you suddenly. The complexity increases with the challenges of work, family and commitments or attempting to care for someone long distance. Being unaware of appropriate and available resources heightens this frustration.
The Denver community has entrusted us with the well-being of their loved ones and we take this very seriously. Our team is dedicated to providing quality care, providing a safety net of support. We believe that empowering seniors and their families with care and support improves their quality of life. We are committed to supporting the decision for seniors to remain in their home where they can maintain a healthy sense of independence and personal dignity. Together we approach each case as if the individual was a member of our own family.
We were founded on the core values of compassion, respect, integrity, and excellence. We hope to be a resource to you and your family. We look forward to learning about you. -Rachel Webb, founder, Extended Family Home Care, January 2007
Meet Our Management Team
Rachel E. Webb, Owner/Administrator
Rachel E. Webb founded Extended Family Home Care in January 2007. She has a degree in Social Work and has been providing Home Health Care and Geriatric Care Management Services for over fifteen years. Rachel is originally from Minneapolis and attended the University of Kansas prior to settling in Denver in 2002. The Rocky Mountains and the 300+ days of sunshine claim drew Rachel to Colorado. Her desire was to establish a premier home care agency to best meet the needs of Colorado’s aging population. Rachel realized the need for an agency that would provide the quality of care she would require for her own family.
“EFHC was founded on the core values of compassion, respect, integrity, and excellence. We understand we are entrusted with the well-being of your loved one and we take this very seriously. Together we approach each case as if the individual was a member of our own family. It is truly the caregivers we employ that set us apart as each caregiver is hand-picked for their varied talents, compassion, and genuine passion to serve others.”
Rachel’s favorite part of her job is the time spent with clients. She enjoys hearing their stories and making them feel as special as they are. Rachel continues to love calling Colorado “home” after thirteen years and lives with her husband, Jon, and their two boys who bring her great joy. Rachel directly oversees the daily operations of EFHC. She is personally involved with our clients, caregivers and management staff. “We are very grateful to be a trusted resource for Colorado seniors and their families.”
Tracy Abel, Director of Care Services
I’m from Boulder and started working with seniors in high school as an after school job where I quickly fell in love with the industry and caring for the senior population. I went to San Diego State University and graduated in 2008 with a Bachelor’s degree in Gerontology. While in San Diego, I worked two internships and then accepted a job opportunity at the San Diego chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association. I am certified in Music and Memory. I love the comfort and happiness music brings to both the client and caregiver.
I find great fulfillment in connecting with people as they age, treating them with dignity and the respect they deserve. I continually strive for further knowledge of best practices and enjoy helping others understand the realities of aging, dementia, and how we can provide the best, most dignified interactions and care to those we serve. I find such joy and have a great understanding in the positive power of meaningful activities, empathetic companionship, and quality oversight.
Since returning home to Colorado, I have been working in the assisted living setting for the past decade in director roles, overseeing resident care. I am so excited to now be helping people stay comfortable and safe in their preferred setting, while working with the phenomenal care team at Extended Family Home Care.
During my free time, I enjoy hiking, snowshoeing, and eating great meals with my new husband and wonderful family.
